Assessing the evidence: how far out is China’s culture?

This presentation looks at the problems of evaluating Chinese media influence including box office (traditional distribution), streaming (i.e. Netflix etc) and online content (i.e. YouTube). Does it make sense to use the term soft power any more? How accurate are consumer rating services like IMDB?
